Mission Santa Clara: Dinah & Kevin

Recent newlyweds Dinah and Kevin celebrated a two-day wedding last month at one of my favorite churches, the Santa Clara Mission. I’m still awed by timeless beauty of this mission and it’s surroundings. It’s candle-lit center aisle and rich ochre tiles ooze charm and history. What a wonderful place to start a new life together.

Their wedding was officiated by a retired pastor who Kevin knew from the gym. He recounted the funny story of how he was convinced to return to the pulpit for one last wedding thanks to Kevin’s insistence.

Dinah is a nurse, and had everyone in stitches as she prepared for the wedding. It’s obvious that this couple likes to laugh and enjoy life.

Their two-day wedding included elements of their blended heritage, Chinese and Filipino. A tea-ceremony at the Hyatt honored the family, and a trivia game at the reception engaged the guests.

We were honored to be chosen to preserve this couple’s wedding along with a fantastic team organized by Karen Pan of New Sunrise Events
